Super Nanny & Emails

Anyway, did any of you watch Super Nanny on TV last week? It's actually quite good, the nanny goes to rowdy kids' houses and straightens them up. She uses a lot of behavioural techniques, so it's really good! The program is on Mondays, 7:30pm, Channel Nine.

Lately, I have been receiving a lot of emails from my Dad. Doesn't he have anything better to do at work than to email me and ring home all the time? Usually he forwards stuff, like this one today:

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going
to town. The boy rode on the donkey &
the old man walked. As they went along
they passed some people who remarked
it was a shame the old man was walking
& the boy was riding. The man & boy
thought maybe the critics were right,
so they changed positions.

Later, they passed some people that remarked,
"What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."
They then decided they both
would walk! Soon they passed some
more people who thought they were
stupid to walk when they had a decent
donkey to ride. So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people that
shamed them by saying how awful to put
such a load on a poor donkey.
The boy & man said they were
probably right, so they decided
to carry the donkey. As
they crossed the bridge, they lost
their grip on the animal & he fell
into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story? I will put it in my random quote.

Random Quote of the Day: "If you try to please everyone, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye."

Hi Alison,
The forward he sent was really good actually! I found it so true. Looks like your dad's being productive at work... Simon Ow

Yeah, but you should read the other forwards he sends me...

And the words 'productive and at work' is like an oxymoron when it comes to my Dad!

I came up with the moral of the story before I saw Alison's.

Mine is : don't try to carry a donkey across a bridge if you're not strong enough.

Hmmm...maybe Ali's better...lol
