Coins Update

Hey just an update about the coins on the Reid Library benches. Amy and I went to see them on Wednesday (yes, how bored are we?) and instead of the 70 cents sitting there, it was only the 50 cent coin left. So someone pried it off (yay, they have an extra 20 cents to spend!)

If you want to read the blog entry about the coins, click here.

Haha, just kidding. I don't know how to do that jumping thing where the page jumps down to the relevant post. Scroll down you lazy peoples! Unless it's not on this page. That would be embarassing.

Anyway, me and my Mum are going to Dim Sum today, since I have the day off (hehe...) and she just finished her temp job.

And this random quote is for Fred. It's so silly. Barry White is gross.

Extremely mediocre

When you're driving, do you ever get paranoid that cars behind you are following you? I always do (stupid, I know). Just a random thought that popped into my head.

And I know I should post more, but I have been sitting here for like an hour thinking of something interesting to say. I've come up with nothing. Woohoo.

I don't even have a random quote. How depressing.

Reject!

WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT MEDIOCRE WAS SPELT WRONG IN MY TITLE??? I HAD IT AS MEDICORE AND NO ONE CORRECTED ME!! I feel like a dumbass now. Luckily, my sister is not that dumb and she noticed that it was spelt wrong.

Anyway, I went to give blood today. Don't get too happy yet Simon, as they rejected me. Usually, my haemoglobin level is around 120-135. You need at least 120 to be able to give blood (normal range is 115-165). The prick on my finger said that my haemoglobin level was 108. So the nurse did another test on me, and extracted more blood from my arm this time. She checked this and the results showed my level as 114. So I couldn't give blood. =O[

The worst part of this story is that if my parents find out, I will probably have to drink beef soup for the rest of my life.

TV shows

I think it's so cool to go to the early service at church rather than the late service. I mean, I'm home, I've eaten lunch, and it's only 11.30am! Video Hits is still on! Now I can find out what is the number one selling single of the week. How exciting.

Speaking of TV shows (hah, what a nice segue), I think that Geoff Janz (from the Channel 9 program Fresh) is so under-rated. He's hilarious! He's up there with Huey.

And who else likes those Victoria Bitter (VB) ads? So so funny man. There's two: the "shout politics" one, and the "beef kebab" one. One of my favourite ads on TV.

Oooh, by the way, number one for the week was Jesse McCartney, Beautiful Soul. Number two was Missy Higgins (I like her!).

Stuck

Just a quick random post for all my many fans... hehe... just kidding!

If any of you guys are near the Reid library in UWA, you should go to the stone benches near the entrance. On the side nearer to the Physics building, you may see some coins (75cents to be exact) stuck to the bench. Try to pry the coins off!

Amy and I have tried to pry them off, but it's not working. We reckon that there is probably one of those candid camera things where people videotape greedy people who want 75cents.

It's so weird! Who would want to waste a good 75cents like that? I mean, think of the things you can buy...

Super Nanny & Emails

Anyway, did any of you watch Super Nanny on TV last week? It's actually quite good, the nanny goes to rowdy kids' houses and straightens them up. She uses a lot of behavioural techniques, so it's really good! The program is on Mondays, 7:30pm, Channel Nine.

Lately, I have been receiving a lot of emails from my Dad. Doesn't he have anything better to do at work than to email me and ring home all the time? Usually he forwards stuff, like this one today:

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going
to town. The boy rode on the donkey &
the old man walked. As they went along
they passed some people who remarked
it was a shame the old man was walking
& the boy was riding. The man & boy
thought maybe the critics were right,
so they changed positions.

Later, they passed some people that remarked,
"What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."
They then decided they both
would walk! Soon they passed some
more people who thought they were
stupid to walk when they had a decent
donkey to ride. So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people that
shamed them by saying how awful to put
such a load on a poor donkey.
The boy & man said they were
probably right, so they decided
to carry the donkey. As
they crossed the bridge, they lost
their grip on the animal & he fell
into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story? I will put it in my random quote.

The averageness of life

Hello! Who wants to hear about the average day I had today? Well, I guess you don't have a choice, unless you stop reading this blog.

So I went to my very first autistic kid's house. The boy is such a little cutie. Because he was only recently diagnosed, I was worried that the boy wouldn't be used to the program so he would tantrum a lot. But he was very well-behaved, he even gave me a kiss when we were leaving. :oD So the session went fine!

Here's the very average thing that happened:

My car wouldn't start.

So I rang my mum. So my mum and Auntie Jervin came to rescue me. My mum rang RAC, and we waited for them to come.

But it's all good.

I am so running out of random quotes. Anyone got any good ones?
